Carpet continues to be a top choice in flooring among homeowners because of its unmatched comfort and style. Modern carpet is made to be durable, stylish, and comfortable.

We use the Select-A-Floor system in our showroom to take the confusion out of finding new carpet for your home. Our system narrows down your carpet selection based on your style preferences, lifestyle, and warranty level. Our carpet selection covers a wide range of options like being pet proof, child-friendly, resistant to wear, and allergy-friendly.

Carpet Benefits

Installing carpet in your home comes along with several different benefits. Our stain-resistant carpets are perfect for active households with pets and children and are incredibly easy to clean. We even have carpets that feature our exclusive H2O™ technology that makes them entirely waterproof. Our carpets also feature allergy friendly qualities. Your carpet fibers can trap dust and dirt on the surface so it does not reach the breathing-zone and can be easily vacuumed up.

Carpet Types

Carpet is made up of fibers which are then twisted into piles. Fibers are made of different materials, both synthetic and natural. Popular synthetic fibers include nylon and polyester. Wool is one of several natural fibers that are used to make carpets and rugs. Piles are the fibers twisted up. There are cut piles, loop piles, and even cut and loop piles. The most important thing you need to do is choose the right type of carpet that balances style and performance. There are five main types: level loop, patterned, textured, frieze, and plush.

In addition to performance features like stain, moisture, and wear-resistance, it’s useful to look closely at the type of fibers your carpet is made from. There are both synthetic and natural fibers available on the market, with a few common choices being nylon, polyester, olefin, triexta, and wool.

There are also several pile types that you’ll find when you shop our carpet selection. This includes cut-pile, loop, and cut-loop. Cut-pile has the fibers sheared at the ends and include options like frieze, shag, and cable. They can be twisted into different styles. Meanwhile, loop piles are rewoven or re-attached into the backing to create elegant loops. A loop pile carpet has excellent stability and crush-resistance – but it can snag pet claws. We also have cut-pile carpets, which feature a mixture of both and give a multi-dimensional appearance that disguises dirt, vacuum sweeps, and stains.

Carpet Installation

The best places in your home to install carpet include bedrooms and living rooms because it adds a warm and cozy feeling. Modern carpet is made to handle daily activity and can be installed in children’s playrooms, stairs, and hallways. The most important thing to do to keep your carpets looking fresh is by regularly cleaning them. We offer carpets that are resistant to staining, wear, and fade.
